BIJOU DOES BALLERINA CHIC

Happy Saturday brides to be I want to share some Ballerina chic with you.

Back in October you may have seen my Ballet inspired bridal theme board (if you missed it see below), well I finally got the opportunity to shoot it last week. Ballet will remain a fashion trend for a while yet with nude colourways, ballet pumps, elaborate eye make up and full skirts now available from most high street stores.

You may incorporate a few of these elements into your bridal look plus it’s a great style for bridesmaids, not just flower girls.

Model wears Karen Millen Ruffle dress £122 and Vestry Pink Ballet shoes £18.  I created the ballerina bun by:

1. Pulling hair into a high pony tail

2. Add a hair donut ring (available from Boots/Superdrug) pulling the ponytail through the top

3.  Start wrapping small sections of hair around the ring, pinning at the base until the ring is fully covered

4.  Add some drama with feathers or crystal pins

Topshop Cream Lace & Silk Panel Dress £65, feather brooches worn as hair slides £2.50 from Primark.

Brides I hope this has inspired your big day, do get in touch if there’s an influence you’d like me to add my Bijou touch to.
