This was a wonderful weekend-long Cotswolds wedding celebration for a globetrotting couple that wanted to show their guests a magical corner of the English countryside. The bride grew up in Somerset and wanted the Friday night to be a welcome ‘festival.’ There were bands (including the bridesmaid’s own band) playing, food stalls, fortune tellers, dress up boxes, photo booth trailers and glitter artists. The following day started with countryside hikes and a rounders match before an idyllic Church ceremony. Guests were then whisked to the reception on vintage red double-decker buses to be entertained with custom cocktails, Morris dancers and a Maypole before an indulgent feast where balloons of edible glitter were popped over the pudding before much partying into the early hours. We mixed in the Groom’s favourite thing, the sea, with a custom-designed scent and candles gifted to all guests and used throughout the day along with an ‘under the sea’ styled cellar after party and a bespoke octopus motif which you’ll spot throughout. As their Cotswolds wedding planner, we made sure every detail was executed perfectly to make this celebration unforgettable.
“Words cannot really cover how fabulous Alex has been or how grateful we are for all that she has done. I could provide you with a near-endless list of practical reasons why you should take her on as a planner. She is incredibly organized. She is experienced. She is well-connected. She does everything (literally everything). She is creative. She is adaptable… etc etc. the list goes on. At the end of the day though, our Cotswolds wedding was magical and Alex made that happen. She understood us instantly and recommended so many unique touches that made our day special. She was also a joy to work with; so full of energy and enthusiasm. Neither of us can imagine doing it without her. Thank you Alex for all that you have done. From the very bottom of our hearts.” – S+R
