OUT OF CONTROL WEDDING BUDGET? GET BACK ON TRACK
You may have noticed that I’m a member of UKAWP, that’s the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners don’t you know. The substantial membership is quite frankly the fount of all knowledge when it comes to planning your wedding. In a new blog feature I’m calling on their shared wealth of expertise to help answer your burning wedmin questions. This month the question is ‘our budget is spiralling out of control, any advice for getting it back on track?’ and we have the delectable Jennifer from Raspberry Bespoke Events sharing her top tips.
It can be all too easy to watch your carefully planned budget spiral out of control whilst admiring all the amazing Wedding products on offer but these ideas can help you get back on track.
SPREADSHEETS ARE YOUR FRIEND
To ensure you keep on track create a spreadsheet and keep a close check on amounts spent in each area. If you have overspent on a part of your wedding you hadn’t planned to, don’t panic, see if you can juggle your spend and recoup funds in another area that is less important to you and your partner.
FRIENDS & FAMILY
Now we know our friends and family are amazing! If you happen to have a friend or family member who is willing to lend a hand when it comes to creating items such as table plans, name cards why not enlist them to help out. Not only can this keep your budget down but will also add that personal touch to your wedding and will be fun along the way!

HONEYMOON HELP
If you have lived together for a while and already own all the household goods you require why not consider opting for a honeymoon gift registry service? By choosing your honeymoon as your gift from your guests this can enable you to concentrate on getting back on track should you have any overspend on your original budget. Also consider opting for a mini moon, which allows you to save for a longer period of time for the holiday of a lifetime later on in the year.
