THURSDAY THREADS – NYFW 2015 THE DREAM DRESSES
Winter is coming, the heating is on and I’m just not ready for the end of summer! Thank heavens for NYFW 2015 and its wealth of colourful, dream gowns to brighten our week. We may not be looking a bridal gowns here but these styles are totally aisle worthy and may just inspire your wedding day styling.
Spring runways can’t function without a plethora of floral prints. Jenny Packham seemed to be taking inspiration from Japanese artist Takashi Murakami with her cartoon-like, colourful embellishments.
Carolina Herrera took florals to futuristic heights with geometric jigsaw cuts.
Delicate silver embroidery over nude base tones is sticking around for Spring.
All praise Badgley Mischka for crafting this dreamy dress, my favourite from all the NYFW runway shows. Note the silver glitter streaks mixed into the tulle skirt.
And finally for unabashed girly fun with Betsey Johnson. Love and marriage were Betsey’s inspiration for this bridal-themed show of tutu skirts and ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ worthy party gowns.
Enjoy the escapism Bijou brides and if you want more, you’ll find fabulous coverage of all the shows over at Elle
