THURSDAY THREADS – MONSOON BRIDAL COLLECTION
As a fan of High Street fashion I was thrilled to get a preview of the Spring Summer 2013 Monsoon bridal collection and I’m pleased to inform you my dear Bijou readers that it does not disappoint. As their press release romantically proclaims the collection contains “the soft rustle of luxurious silk, the delicate glittering of intricate embellishment and the soft caress of vintage-inspired lace.” Picture that.
First up some sparkle and my favourite shade of grey.
The Monsoon bridal collection follows the brand’s penchant for vintage inspired design at an affordable price, making them a key destination for stylish brides on a budget.
Another lacey number in the Spring Summer 2013 collection is the demure Ekaterina Wedding dress.
This grecian style Kora Wedding dress is rather unusual with its long draped shoulder detail, I heart it.
Another grecian style for you destination brides off to wed in sunnier climes, the Lana Wedding dress. As well as some complimentary dresses for your best girls.
Yes the Wedding dresses are rather lovely but I must admit to being most impressed by the bridesmaids dresses in the collection. Again if you are a couple on a budget decking out your bridal party is expensive and can leave the high street retailers as your first port of call. Luckily Monsoon have designed a range of stylish yet sophisticated adult, as well as children’s, bridesmaid dresses in an array of shades including the season’s most wanted muted colour palette of dusty pink, soft silver and light sage.
Offering the majority of styles in a range of colours means your bridesmaids can mix and match to suit their body shape.
And for the flower girls and page boys, you really can’t get much cuter than this…
