SUNDAY LOVES – LUXE WESTERN WEDDING
My Sunday Love this week had to be the marriage of two American dynasties as David Lauren wed Lauren Bush, it was a stunning luxe Western Wedding. They married at Ralph Lauren’s family estate in Colorado with a theme of ‘rustic elegance’ and magnificent Western detailing. Groom David explained that the Wedding felt like “A beautiful movie, like you were riding across the Old West and you stopped in at a wedding.” Er no kidding David…
And if there was any doubt the bride’s wedding dress was designed by Father-in-Law Ralph Lauren. “I walked in, and there were these beautiful illustrations of the looks we’d discussed with my face on them,” bride Lauren recalls. “It was like a dream come true. We sat together and arrived at this silhouette. It isn’t Victorian exactly. I wanted something modern as well, so there is the high-necked collar and puffed shoulders with the large open back.” The incredible gown came to life in antique ivory tulle, hand embroidered silk Renaissance-era scroll designs and flower motifs, Swarovski crystals and pearl beads.
I love that the bride chose to wear cowboy boots with ‘something blue’ socks! And for a seamless luxe Western Wedding theme dressed her bridesmaids in vintage prairie skirts, cowboy boots and waistcoats. But the question is, should the bride now be known as Mrs Lauren Lauren?
