BIJOU BRIDE – MINA’S LONDON STYLE
Today’s delightful newlywed’s Mina and Jorge met in our capital city and although like many they realise they shall not be here forever, they wanted to leave with wonderful memories. Mina and Jorge choose iconic London landmarks for their day, Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony, Regents Park for their post ceremony drinks and photos and the Langham for their reception. They also rather sensibly employed Mark Anderson, London’s contemporary wedding photographer, to capture their special day.
BRIDE STYLE
Bride Mina went in search of a “modern dress with a romantic touch” which she found at Angelica Bridal in Islington. It is always lovely to hear a joyous bride utter those magic words “I tried around 10 dresses and when I tried on THE dress I instantly knew that I had finally found it.“
When it came to finding those all important accessories Mina turned to her sisters (also her bridesmaids) for their fashion advice who helped her to select shoes from Rainbow Couture and Swarovski earrings. Whilst her parents surprised her with an early wedding gift of a diamante necklace, adding a touch more sparkle to her look.
BRIDESMAIDS
Mina’s sisters both wore the same dress from Alfred Sung but just like my sister and I, wanted to look unique so selected different colour ways and shoes.
GROOM STYLE
Groom Jorge found his perfect fit at Massimo Dutti, so Bijou grooms do not be afraid to try the Great British High Street for your wedding suit. Jorge also had a ‘something old’ wearing his grandfather’s gold cufflinks.
WORDS OF WISDOM
Mina advises Bijou brides to “Use the day before the wedding to finish all your to-do’s and go early to bed, even if you can’t sleep! Make sure that you take care of yourself on the big day… Be relaxed, enjoy the day and it will be the perfect day.“
Mina certainly found her Prince Charming in Jorge and I wish them both a truly happy ever after.
