REAL BIJOU BRIDE – DEANN’S GARDEN PARTY WEDDING

One of my favourites EVER! A private garden party wedding that was jam packed from arrival until the early hours after party.
Of course you can’t really have favourites but these two were just such a riot. Committed to spoiling every single adoring guest, totally trusting throughout the planning process and with one simple wish, for their wedding to be the party of the year. And trust me, it really was.
Bride Deann and I share some common traits – love of sequins, cocktails and great shoes. But she is far more vivacious, well travelled and has much better party stamina! There was much debate over the wedding dress but I love that Deann choose something that was just so her rather than falling into the trap of traditional. As an American bride marrying an British guy we had nods to that within the food choices, decor and travel theme paper goods.
Another reason I loved this garden party wedding so much was because of the huge dream team of suppliers that brought their A-game. Deann and Tom were so open to ideas and that trust in the talent made it such a unique celebration. One example was the amazing Kalm Kitchen who wowed us with let’s face the best part of dinner, dessert! Mini patisserie stations for each dining table, laid out on perspex boxes of edible pebbles. Such a great idea to have decorations that double up as evening snacks!
As I mentioned Deann and Tom were open to fresh ideas which gave suppliers the opportunity to be a little experimental. The amazing Early Hours took the brief of ombre pinks and floral displays that were inspired by and also felt part of the gardens to the next level. Flower walls maybe a popular choice for weddings now but have you ever seen a waterfall botanical ceremony backdrop…
And that wasn’t the only show-stopping floral display, a flora and fauna arch welcomed guests into the drinks reception.
This was by no means a straight forward wedding set up. When we first started working together the house and gardens were still very much a building site so the logistics and lay out were complex. Thankfully everything was in place by the big day, the sun shone and it was the stunning backdrop Deann and Tom had wished for. But, I couldn’t be there as I’d gone into labour the day before! Thankfully I had the fantastic Andri from Always Andri Weddings and my trusted assistants ensuring everything was on point. I love my son, but would have done anything to be there seeing it all come together.
Congratulations D+T, 2 years of adventure and many more ahead. And huge shout out to the best of the best, the dream team that made this such a one-of-a-kind garden party wedding.
