BRIDAL 2017 TRENDS WATCH – STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT
There’s a starlight romance on the horizon for Fall 2017. I’ve been casting my beady magpie eyes around New York Bridal Week, spotting upcoming bridal 2017 trends to share with you. There was so much to gaze adoringly at that I’ll be sharing the trends in a series of posts but up first it had to be the glitter bomb of designer wedding dresses. Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight…
At Hayley Paige even the illustrated show materials described ‘a chic cherub of the cosmos, her soul shimmers in a cloud of stardust.’ Swoon. Embellished wedding dresses have been a thing for a number of seasons now but, for Fall 2017 there are some seriously bold embellished motifs on offer. As seen at Alon Livne White and Naeem Khan. Starbursts of shimmering sequins contrast these statement patterned gowns. From Inbal Dror and Hayley Paige the look here was far softer and perhaps even ethereal. And if you’re a bride that’s already bagged her dress, you can still embrace the starlit style by accessorising with a sequin biker jacket. A piece I’m longing to covet!
