BIJOU STYLES 2014 – A YEAR IN STYLED SHOOTS
As 2014 draws to a close it’s a time to rest and reflect on the year that has pasted. I always enjoy flexing my creative muscle and collaborating with other wedding suppliers. 2014 was a bumper year for that, there was…
MIXED METALLICS & GEOMETRICS
This shoot was such fun, a glittery giggle from start to finish. Shot on a rainy Valentine’s day love was truly in the air for our ‘models’ who were in fact a real couple.

PLAYING WITH PINK
When the lovely Alethiea from Xander & Thea Photography approached me about this shoot, how could I say no when there was the promise of candy floss hair, giant bubbles, flower walls and a lot of pretty things to play with.

NAKED ELEGANCE
You will have heard me talking about this wedding style a lot in press and on the blog. Paired back, naked elegance where the beauty of a wood table, natural leaf or vintage cutlery does the dressing. It is magical working with real brides on a styled shoot and the two Kates who were Whimsical Wonderland Weddings Real Brides of 2014 were such a pleasure to work with. We tried to ensure their look were something different to their chosen wedding day styles.

MYSTICAL WOODLAND
The weather may not have been on our side but we weren’t going to let it beat us. The lovely Lau of French Made’s flat become our base as we revised our shooting plans to a small patch of woodland opposite a car park. The talented Paola made it look like a gigantic set with her clever camera work.

Lau’s cute as a button daughter Luna even braved the camera.

TERRY FOX – SIREN SONG
Terry is such a meticulous designer you won’t spot one stitch or bead out of place. I’ve worked on a couple of the collections now and am always amazed at the sheer volume of intricate gowns Terry turns out each season. Plus it’s always a joy to work with the delectable Carey Sheffield.

OLYMPUS
My last shoot of the year and this was something a little different. Hosted by Olympus and their brand ambassador John Nassari at The Savoy, a select group of the industry’s top photographers, bloggers and press were invited to come and play with new camera models at a mock wedding. Yes it was Winter and cold but I wanted to create something contemporary and elegant by mixing soft greys and golds with warm pinks.
